Family Training
Practical Tools for Day-to-Day Life
Coaching Caregivers, Supporting Progress
Family training empowers you to actively participate in your child’s development through personalized coaching that fits into your daily routines. Our approach is hands-on, supportive, and built around practical tools that work in real life.
What Family Training Covers
Our Family Trainers work with you on strategies that promote communication, behavior regulation, play skills, and self-help routines. Each training session is tailored to your child’s goals and grounded in real-life situations – like mealtime, diaper changes, or playtime.
We also help you understand how progress in these areas relates to broader developmental milestones, so you know what to look for and how to support growth over time.
Why It Matters
Developmental therapy doesn’t stop at the clinic or during a scheduled session – children learn best when strategies are consistently used across environments. This is why family training is so important: it turns everyday moments into meaningful opportunities for learning.
When families are confident in what to do and why it matters, children experience more consistent progress. It’s reassuring for you, too, to see that you’re responding effectively to your child’s needs.
How Family Training Works
We deliver family support services in your home or in the community – it all depends on your schedule and preferences. Our specialists observe routines, offer feedback, and model techniques that align with your child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Our family training sessions are collaborative. They’re designed to meet you where you are, answer your questions, and build your skills at a pace that makes sense for your family.
